Real Wedding
Our wedding at
Piper Glen
This late-spring Piper Glen wedding had a palette we adore: blush, cream, and a lot of fresh green. The bride wanted the flowers to feel gathered from a garden rather than arranged for a ballroom, and she had a big, happy crew of bridesmaids in mismatched shades of pink to carry it.
Vows happened on the fairway grass above one of the course's lakes, with the water and the tree line doing the work a backdrop usually would. We built two loose, overflowing arrangements on tall white plinths to frame the couple — garden roses, peonies, lisianthus, stock, and Iceland poppies with trailing vines — plus low clusters at their bases so the setup looked rooted to the lawn. After the recessional, the newlyweds made a getaway lap on a golf cart, which felt exactly right.
Inside, the ballroom mixed round tables under the crystal chandelier with long banquet tables running down the wall of windows. We kept the tables airy: bud vases of stock, ranunculus, and sweet pea between glass candle cylinders and gold-beaded chargers, with a few slightly fuller arrangements on the rounds. Simple and light, so the room felt like a continuation of the afternoon outside.
The florals
- Bridal bouquet of white garden roses, lisianthus, and ranunculus with soft greenery
- Bridesmaid bouquets mixing white and blush roses with pink lisianthus
- Two ceremony arrangements on white plinths with garden roses, peonies, and Iceland poppies
- Low ground clusters anchoring the ceremony pieces on the lawn
- Bud vases of stock, ranunculus, and sweet pea along long banquet tables
- Fuller low centerpieces for the ballroom's round tables
- Pillar and taper candlelight in glass to keep tables light
- Blush spray-rose boutonnieres for the groomsmen, with a white one for the groom

Piper Glen sits in a quiet, wooded neighborhood on the south side of Charlotte, close to Ballantyne. It's a private club, though weddings are open to everyone. What you'll notice first is how green everything is. Arnold Palmer laid out the course across about 200 rolling acres with lakes, hardwoods, and rock outcroppings, and from 1990 to 2001 it hosted a senior tour stop, best remembered as the Home Depot Invitational.
For flowers, the course is the whole story. Mown fairway, still water, and a tree line give you a clean, uncluttered backdrop, so loose garden-style pieces in soft colors photograph beautifully and nothing has to fight for attention. Inside, the clubhouse is classic and neutral — cream walls, chandeliers, big windows — which makes it easy to carry the ceremony palette straight through to dinner.
It's also one of the simplest logistics days in Charlotte. Ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all happen on one property, catering is handled in-house, and most guests are staying at hotels ten minutes away in Ballantyne. For a local couple who wants a polished, outdoorsy wedding without a long drive, it checks a lot of boxes.
Ceremony & reception spaces
Event Lawn
Outdoor · up to ~230 guests
The ceremony site, looking across the course to the lake and trees. With water behind you, there's no need for a big arch — two generous arrangements on plinths frame the vows and leave the view open. That's what our featured couple chose. We bring weighted bases and keep aisle pieces low so breezes off the fairway aren't a worry.
Ballroom
Indoor · up to 230 seated
Where our couple held their reception. It's neutral, with a crystal chandelier and a long run of windows, so it takes color well. We like mixing low, lush centerpieces on the round tables with bud vase runs on long banquet tables by the glass for a room that feels varied rather than uniform.
Covered patio
Outdoor, tented · cocktail hour
Good for cocktail hour while the ballroom is reset, and a sensible rain plan for the ceremony. Bar arrangements and a welcome-sign piece link it to the ceremony without adding much to the budget.
Parlor
Indoor · up to ~50 guests
A smaller room that fits a rehearsal dinner, a bridal shower, or a very small wedding. A single long table with a garland or a cluster of low pieces looks great here.
Board Room
Indoor · up to 16 guests
Not a wedding space, but handy as a quiet room for family before the ceremony. A centerpiece and a few bud vases dress it up quickly.
What's Included
Wedding services at
Piper Glen
TPC Piper Glen is run by Invited (formerly ClubCorp), and its private events team handles food, drink, and the room. Flowers, photography, music, and planning are yours to choose — which is where we come in.
Customizable wedding packages
Packages bundle the food and bar, with options from passed hors d'oeuvres and a buffet to a plated dinner. You can also start from scratch with the events team and build your own menu.
In-house catering & bar
Every meal and drink comes from the club's own culinary team, so there's no outside caterer to coordinate. If you'd like flowers on the cake or food displays, we'll arrange it with them directly.
No membership needed
Non-members book weddings the same way members do. It's one of the reasons Piper Glen gets on so many South Charlotte shortlists.
Bridal suite & rentals
Listings mention a bridal suite for getting ready, plus tables, gold chiavari chairs, ceremony chairs, and linens. We deliver personal flowers to the suite in time for detail photos.
Planning support
The club's event sales director helps you plan the event itself. For a full ceremony-plus-reception day, we still recommend a day-of coordinator to run the timeline and vendors.
Rehearsal dinners & showers
Higher-tier packages include a ceremony rehearsal, and the Parlor works well for the rehearsal dinner. Keeping the weekend in one place makes it easy for us to scale your wedding flowers down for those events.
Hotels nearby
There are no guest rooms on site. Ballantyne's hotels are about ten minutes away, so a room block plus a shuttle is the usual plan.
Outside vendors
The club keeps a preferred partner list for décor and florals, and third-party listings say outside vendors are allowed. Confirm the policy with the events team when you book. We've already designed a wedding at Piper Glen and can provide a certificate of insurance if the club asks.
Budgeting
What does a Piper Glen wedding
cost?
Piper Glen isn't a resort, and its pricing is closer to other Charlotte country clubs than to a destination venue. The club doesn't post prices on its own site, so these figures come from its wedding listings on Zola and WeddingWire. Use them to budget your florals alongside everything else.

TPC Piper Glen doesn't publish wedding pricing. Venue figures are approximate, taken from its Zola and WeddingWire listings (reviewed October 2026; the listings themselves are undated), and shift with the date you pick, so ask the club's private events team for a written quote. Our floral figure uses this season's rates; delivery and setup are itemized separately when we quote your date. Last updated .
For You & Your Guests
Things to do at
Piper Glen
Piper Glen's amenities are mostly for members, so your guests' wedding weekend will lean on Ballantyne and the rest of Charlotte. Here's what to know about the club itself.
Golf
The Arnold Palmer course is private. If your golfers want to play, ask the events team about hosting a small outing before the wedding — the club runs plenty of tournaments.
K62
The club restaurant looks out over the 18th hole. It's members-first, so it's worth asking whether it can work for a rehearsal dinner or a post-wedding brunch.
Golf cart photos
Our couple's golf-cart exit was one of the most fun shots of the day. Ask your photographer to plan for it — and we'll make sure the bouquet is ready for a bumpy ride.
Course portraits
Golden-hour portraits on the fairways and by the lakes are the payoff of a course wedding. Build 20–30 minutes into your timeline and confirm with the club where you can walk.

Planning Notes
Florals for every
Charlotte season
Spring
Peonies · garden roses · Iceland poppies
The season of our featured wedding. Fairways turn bright green and dogwoods and azaleas bloom in April. Pollen is heavy, so we keep an eye on outdoor pieces.
Summer
Hydrangea · lisianthus · zinnias
Hot and humid, with pop-up afternoon thunderstorms. We pick heat-tolerant blooms, install outdoor pieces as late as possible, and plan an indoor ceremony backup.
Fall
Dahlias · garden roses · amaranthus
Charlotte's most popular wedding season. Mild days, golden light, and leaves turning in late October make the course glow behind warmer palettes.
Winter
Ranunculus · anemones · evergreens
Quieter and often better value. Most of the day moves indoors, so candlelight and fuller centerpieces carry the room.
Designing for Piper Glen
Frame the view, don't block it
The lake and fairway are the backdrop, so we skip a full arch and use two arrangements on plinths. Guests see the water, the photographer gets clean lines, and the budget goes into flowers instead of structure.
Plan for wind and sun on the course
Open fairways mean wind and full afternoon sun. We weight every pedestal, choose sturdy, well-hydrated stems, and install outdoor pieces close to ceremony time so blooms look fresh in photos.
Move ceremony flowers to the reception
Ceremony arrangements on plinths are easy to move. We can carry them inside to flank the sweetheart table or the cake while guests are at cocktail hour — one of the best ways to stretch a floral budget.
Quick load-in from Fort Mill
We're about twenty minutes from Piper Glen, so flowers arrive conditioned and in great shape without a long drive. We coordinate timing with the club's events team and your planner, then come back after the last dance to pack everything up.

Questions
Piper Glen wedding
FAQ
Is TPC Piper Glen members-only for weddings?
Not at all. The club is private for golf and dining, but its events team books weddings for anyone, and the process is the same whether or not you belong.
Can I bring my own florist to TPC Piper Glen?
Vendor policies are set with the club's private events team when you book, so confirm with them. We've already designed a wedding at Piper Glen, know the load-in, and can provide a certificate of insurance if needed.
How far is Piper Glen from you?
About twenty minutes. We're based in Fort Mill, SC, just over the state line from South Charlotte, and delivery, setup, and breakdown are included in your proposal.
How much does a wedding at TPC Piper Glen cost?
The club doesn't post pricing on its site. Its wedding listings show a reception site fee of about $1,500–$3,000 depending on season, a ceremony fee around $800–$1,000, and packages from roughly $10,000 to $30,000 for up to 160 guests, with service charge and tax added on top. Our ballpark for a 100–150 person wedding is $15,000–$35,000 paid to the club, not counting your other vendors.
What would flowers like these cost at Piper Glen?
Florals like our featured Piper Glen wedding for about 150 guests run roughly $3,800–$5,300. Want a number for your own guest list? Plug your quantities into our online estimator.
Where do couples have the ceremony and reception at Piper Glen?
Most couples say their vows on the Event Lawn overlooking the lake and course, then move to the Ballroom, which seats up to 230, with cocktail hour on the covered patio. Smaller groups can use the Parlor. Everything is on one property, so guests never have to drive.
Do I need a wedding planner at Piper Glen?
The club's event sales director helps you plan the event, but for a full ceremony-and-reception day we recommend hiring a day-of coordinator to run the timeline. We work closely with planners on setup and floral placement.
What's the best time of year for a Piper Glen wedding?
Spring and fall. April and May bring a bright green course and peony season, and October has mild weather and warm light. Summer works too, but plan around heat and afternoon storms.
Is there a rain plan for a lakeside ceremony?
Yes. The covered patio is the usual fallback, so confirm it with the club when you book. We design ceremony pieces that can move inside quickly, and we'll check the forecast with your planner the week of the wedding.
When should we reserve a florist for a Piper Glen date?
Right after you sign with the club. Spring and fall Saturdays around Charlotte go quickly, and we keep our wedding calendar intentionally small.
